Samantha called us in September 2020.
She had just fled an abusive relationship and was scared for her life. Samantha called almost every domestic violence organization in the state and no one was able to help her.
Feeling alone and unprotected in a strange country she had just moved to six months prior, she gave a final call to Sierra Community House from nearly 500 miles away. She expected this call, too, to be full of empty promises. Samantha was in despair and needed immediate safety and to regain the dignity and confidence she had lost.
Because of you and other generous donors, Sierra Community House provided Samantha with transportation to our Safe House, food, clothing, legal assistance, and more. Today, Samantha is safe and thriving.
Through your support, we are able to provide the crisis support services people need when tragedy strikes, and they need our help. Thank you!
