What is Crisis Intervention Training (CIT)?

CIT is a 69-hour, state-certified training that prepares community members to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. Upon completion, you’ll receive a Certificate that opens the door to volunteer and employment opportunities working directly with survivors across California.

What does Crisis Intervention Training cover?

  • The history and laws surrounding domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse
  • A deeper understanding of how abuse happens and how it affects those who experience it
  • Practical skills for providing crisis counseling to victims and survivors
