Sierra Community House invites you to volunteer your skills, talents and time as we service our community members in the Truckee/ North Lake Tahoe area. Join us as a trusted volunteer in one of our four program areas: Hunger Relief, Crisis Intervention & Prevention, Family Support & Community Engagement, and Mediation & Legal Assistance.
To work with community members experiencing crisis, our volunteers must complete Crisis Intervention Training (CIT). We offer a 69-hour training in the spring and fall to provide community members with tools needed to help those experiencing domestic/intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. Our Spring 2021 training begins April 20th. To learn more or enroll, download the flyer.
We are actively looking for passionate youth and adults to help with our community mobilization efforts as it relates to violence prevention in the Truckee community. To learn more click here.
