Sierra Community House invites you to volunteer your skills, talents and time as we service our community members in the Truckee/ North Lake Tahoe area. Join us as a trusted volunteer in one of our four program areas: Hunger Relief, Crisis Intervention & Prevention, Family Support & Community Engagement, and Mediation & Legal Assistance.

To work with community members experiencing crisis, our volunteers must complete Crisis Intervention Training (CIT). We offer a 69-hour training in the spring and fall to provide community members with tools needed to help those experiencing domestic/intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. Check back for our Spring 2024 training dates.

Each department is unique and made up of trained staff eager to assist while lending itself to our community members current needs. Complete the application below or call (775) 298-0010 to connect with our Volunteer Coordinator.
