Our community is stronger when we come together to support one another. Sierra Community House is grateful to collect essential non-perishable foods and household items to help families and individuals facing challenging times. Your donations make a real difference and help ensure everyone has access to nourishing food and basic supplies. 

Food Drive Needs 

We accept any unopened, unexpired non-perishable foods, but here are items we always need: 

  • Beans (dried or canned) – especially pinto and black beans 
  • Rice 
  • Pasta and sauce 
  • Cereals – healthier options preferred, including oatmeal 
  • Nut/seed butters 
  • Canned tuna, meat & poultry 
  • Canned fruits and vegetables 
  • Juice 
  • Nutritional supplements – like Ensure or Glucerna 
  • Healthy snacks – great for school kids! 

Family Support Needs 

Beyond food, many families in our community need basic essentials for daily life. If you’re able, please consider donating items like: 

  • Diapers are always a valuable contribution 
  • Hats, gloves, and socks – especially for the colder months 
  • Gift cards for local grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations 
  • Toiletries – feminine hygiene products, soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, etc.

Our Hunger Relief warehouse is currently accepting the items above, located at 12116 Chandelle Way, Suite D2 Truckee, CA. Please reach out in advance to schedule a drop off. Email [email protected] or call (775) 430-1020.
