“Because of you, I am a better parent to my kids.”
Teresa first heard about Sierra Community House when a friend suggested she join her at Mom’s Café. After giving birth to her first child, she was struggling with feeling isolated and stressed. In addition to Mom’s Café, Teresa started attending Sierra Community House’s Family Room at Truckee Elementary School to continue connecting with other parents and learning ways to reduce her stress and help her baby develop social, emotional and language skills.
“Now I know I can lean on Sierra Community House for support when I need it. It’s an amazing feeling to know I’m not alone, and they will always be there for me.” she says.
