By Allison Edwards, Development Director

What a night! On October 24, our community came together at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe for the 36th Annual Tahoe Chocolate & Wine Festival, and I’m still smiling about it.

Thank you to everyone who came out, bid on the auction, poured, sponsored, and volunteered. Our theme this year was “Ripple Effect: Making Waves of Change,” and you made it real. Together, we raised important funds for families in North Lake Tahoe and Truckee.

The Night

The room was full of good wine, great chocolate, and people catching up with friends. Dead Winter Carpenters had people dancing all night, and the photo booth line never really let up (photos below!).

One of my favorite moments was our short film. A local domestic violence survivor shared her story alongside her SCH advocate, who walked with her through some of the hardest moments of her life. The room got quiet, and you could feel how much it meant to everyone. Thank you to both of them for their courage and trust in sharing it with us.

Thank You

A big thank you to our sponsors: Northstar California, Palisades Tahoe, the Incline Village Crystal Bay Community and Business Association, One Toyota of Oakland, Spadi Custom Homes, and Mountain Gazette.

Thank you to the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe for hosting us, to eighty8studios for making our film, and to everyone who donated an auction item. And to our volunteers and SCH staff, thank you for all the work before, during, and after the event.

Every dollar raised goes back into our community through hunger relief, crisis support, legal services, and family strengthening programs. We’re so grateful you were part of it.

See you next year!
