The holiday season is a time of generosity and community—and many of our neighbors are feeling the strain of increased food costs and winter expenses. As giving becomes top of mind, we’re grateful for the individuals, businesses, and groups who want to support our Hunger Relief Program. To make sure your donation has the greatest impact, please review the guidelines below before hosting a food drive or dropping off items.
The Hunger Relief Program aims to provide nutritious foods that are minimally processed and contain low or no added sodium, sugar, coloring, trans or saturated fat.
Please consider hosting a virtual food drive instead of a traditional food drive. Given the scale of our operations, we source and distribute food in large quantities. With our purchasing power, donating just a few dollars can go a lot further and allows us to source fresh foods, such as produce and eggs, which we cannot accept through individual donations because of food safety.
If you are proceeding with a traditional food drive, please target a particular item, such as just beans or just nut butters, or any of the items below. This helps us tremendously with sorting the items to be distributed.
Acceptable donations are:
- Shelf-stable non-perishables
- Unopened sealed, unaltered, and unbroken original packaging
- Unexpired clear manufacture expiration date later than the current date
Examples of Nutritious Shelf-Stable Donations:
- Proteins
- Dried & canned beans
- Canned tuna, salmon, sardines, chicken
- Nuts & seeds, nut & seed butters
- Whole Grains
- Rice
- Whole Wheat Pasta
- Oatmeal
- Quinoa
We also accept donations of personal hygiene and household cleaning products.
Donations are accepted at 12116 Chandelle St, Unit D2, Truckee CA during business hours. Generally, this is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm unless we are out at a distribution. You can reach us by email [email protected], call or text us at 775-430-1020 with questions or to confi rm staffed hours.
Please, no donation dumping when the warehouse is closed.
For retail food operations and producers, please contact us to discuss commercial donations.
