As the holiday season approaches, we’re excited to launch our “Let’s Talk Turkey” program once again! At Sierra Community House, we believe that everyone deserves to enjoy a warm, nourishing holiday meal surrounded by loved ones. This initiative, powered by generous donations and community support, helps us provide turkey dinners and essential groceries to families in need.
Why It Matters
For many in our community, access to food is a daily challenge. “Let’s Talk Turkey” not only ensures holiday meals but also offers a moment of joy and togetherness. Food insecurity can be isolating, especially during the holidays, and our goal is to bring a sense of connection and stability to our neighbors. One community member shared, “Receiving a turkey means so much – it’s not just food; it’s a chance to gather, give thanks, and share joy with loved ones.”
Distribution Schedule
Sierra Community House will offer food distributions for the Thanksgiving holiday that will include a turkey and fixings.
🍁 Wednesday, 11/20 3-4:30pm – Kings Beach Thanksgiving Distribution
🍁 Thursday, 11/21 2-3:30pm – Incline Village Thanksgiving Distribution
🍁 Monday, 11/25 – Thanksgiving Home Delivery Distribution
🍁 Tuesday, 11/26 12-6pm – Truckee Thanksgiving Distribution
Please note there will be no distribution in Kings Beach on Wednesday 11/27 or on Thursday, 11/28 in Incline Village.
