What are the key responsibilities of a Development Director?
As a Development Director, Allison wears many hats. She not only builds and maintains strong relationships with donors, but also develops fundraising plans and crafts strategies to meet them. Allison also oversees all our events. This includes continuing legacy events like the 34th Annual Tahoe Chocolate and Wine Festival, as well as bringing together key folks in our community to create new events that bring our community together and raise awareness about our mission.
Shannon Falker, Operations and Communications Director, said, “Allison has a remarkable talent for uniting passionate people for a common cause. She brings together diverse groups, fostering collaboration and mutual support. Her ability to unite and inspire people is something special, and it makes a big difference in achieving our goals.”
Favorite Aspects of the Job
Allison loves getting to know the people who support our work and understanding their reasons for doing so. “It’s special to see individuals allocate their time, money, and energy to causes that matter to them”, said Allison. She finds it meaningful to be part of a local organization that influences where she lives, works, and raises her family. Outside of work, Allison can be found spending time with family and friends, camping, skiing, listening to live music, and more!
